Refund Policy
Our Policy
Double Exposure Photography
Effective Date: 09/15/25
At Double Exposure Photography, we strive to provide a professional and satisfying experience for every client. This refund policy outlines the terms under which a refund may be issued for our photography services.
1. Booking Deposit
-
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total cost of service is required to secure your session date
-
This deposit ensures your date is held and covers administrative time and planning
-
This deposit is non-refundable, except in the case of a full cancellation made at least 72 hours prior to the date of service (See Below)
2. Cancellations
A. Cancellation Made 72+ Hours In Advance
Clients who cancel their session 72 hours or more before the date of service are eligible for a full refund, including the deposit. Clients may also choose to reschedule at no additional cost.
B. Cancellation Made Less Than 72 Hours In Advance
If a session is cancelled less than 72 hours before the scheduled time, the 20% deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee. Any additional amount paid beyond the deposit will be refunded.
3. Rescheduling
A. Rescheduling More Than 48 Hours In Advance
You may reschedule your session at no additional charge if the change is requested more than 48 hours in advance, subject to availability.
B. Rescheduling Less Than 48 Hours In Advance
A rescheduling fee of 10% of the total session cost will apply for reschedule requests made less than 48 hours in advance. The original deposit will be applied to the new session date.
4. No-Shows and Late Arrivals
Clients who fail to show up for their scheduled session without prior notice are not eligible for a refund. Late arrivals that reduce the available session time will not result in a partial refund.
5. Service Satisfaction
Due to the artistic and custom nature of photography, all delivered services and digital products are final and non-refundable once the session has been completed. We do not offer refunds for dissatisfaction with styles, poses, or artistic choices, as these are discussed and agreed upon prior to the session date.
6. Cancellation By Photographer
In the rare event that Double Exposure Photography must cancel a session due to emergency or unforeseen circumstances, clients will be given the option to reschedule at no additional cost, or receive a full refund including the deposit.
