Double Exposure Photography is a small family owned photography business based in Central Maine. Double Exposure Photography is run and owned by Mataya Austin and Corianna Doucette.

Terms & Conditions

Double Exposure Photography

Effective Date: 09/15/25

     These terms and conditions govern the provision of photography services by Double Exposure Photography to you. By booking our services you agree to be bound by this agreement. 

1. Booking and Deposits

     A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total cost of service is required at the time of booking to secure your date. The remaining balance is due no later than your date of service, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. 

2. Cancellations and Rescheduling

     Cancellations made at least 72 hours prior to the date of service are eligible for a full refund of any payment made, including the deposit, or the option to reschedule without penalty. Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the date of service will incur a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the total service cost (i.e. the deposit is forfeited). 

     Rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours prior to the date of service will incur a rescheduling fee of 10% of the total cost of service. Rescheduling is subject to availability. 

3. Delivery

     Clients will receive a digital photo album containing the final edited images. There is no additional cost for digital delivery unless otherwise states in writing. Client will have the option to add on a physical print for an additional cost, depending on the size of the image needed. Final images will be delivered within 3 weeks from the date of service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. 

4. Image Rights and Usage

     Double Exposure Photography retains full copyright to all images produced unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Clients retain the right to download, print, and share images for non-commercial purposes unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We reserve the right to use any images captured during sessions for our portfolio, website, marketing, and social media platforms. 

5. Client Responsibility 

     It is the clients responsibility to ensure all participants arrive on right and are prepared for the session. Any delays caused by the client may impact the length and outcome of the session, without guarantee of rescheduling or extended time. Double Exposure Photography is not liable for missed shots due to lateness, no-shows, or other avoidable circumstances. 

6. Editing and Artistic Control

     All images will be professionally edited at the discretion of our photographers. RAW files and unedited images will not be provided to the client under any circumstances. Request for additional editing or retouching may incur an additional fee at the discretion of our photographers. 

7. Travel and Location

     Double Exposure Photography is based in Central Maine and travel within 20 miles of Waterville, Maine is included. A travel fee may apply for services outside of the included area. This will be discussed and agreed upon at the time of booking. 

8. Limitation of Liability

     While every effort is made to ensure satisfaction, the photographer is not liable for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, venue conditions, or technical malfunction. Our total liability for any claim, breach, or damage shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client. 

9. Agreement

     By booking our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
